The Pleasant Hope Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the School of the Ozarks Patriots at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Pleasant Hope was able to grind out a solid win over Billings, taking the game 55-47.
Meanwhile, School of the Ozarks put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over Exeter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead School of the Ozarks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Holland Houston, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. Houston continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kinley Sharp was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Southern Missouri RUSH's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Pleasant Hope's defeat dropped theirs to 2-3.
Pleasant Hope strolled past School of the Ozarks in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pleasant Hope since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
