SEED DC's 29-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 67-59 to KIPP College Prep on Friday. SEED DC has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, SEED DC had strong showings from Wendell Allsbrook, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, and Noah Mercer, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Allsbrook's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Markal Ingram, who scored two points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Digital Pioneers Academy faced Richard Wright Public Charter School in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Digital Pioneers Academy took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-21 win over Richard Wright Public Charter School. Digital Pioneers Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
SEED DC's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
