Jaxon Carlson Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Jaxon Carlson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sedgwick County to the win on Saturday. Carlson rushed for 310 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 75 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (104.2) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 86 yards.
Dayspring Christian Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Carlson it was a similar story. When Carlson last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 130 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes.

Grant Statz's big game helped extend Haxtun's winning streak to five on Friday. Statz was dynamite, rushing for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.
Haxtun pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Statz and Haxtun will square off against Akron at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
