The Eaglecrest Raptors will venture away from home to take on the Grandview Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eaglecrest is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
Eaglecrest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Valor Christian, who was ranked 18th at the time (Eaglecrest was ranked third). The Raptors came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
The win didn't come easy: Valor Christian scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 28-26, 22-25, 25-20.

Dillan Ancheta and Ashton Bond were among the main playmakers for Eaglecrest as the former had 23 assists and nine digs and the latter had 16 digs, ten kills, and four aces. That's the most assists Ancheta has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Chen, who had 17 digs and two assists.
They weren't the only good server: Eaglecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Grandview came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cougars.
Grandview wouldn't go down easily and took Cherokee Trail into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 27-29, 25-18, 15-9.
Grandview's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Eaglecrest, their record is now 16-2.
