Merrimack Valley - Division 1 recap November 5, 2013
Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Merrimack Valley - Division 1 this week by beating Lexington, 60-28. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Lowell took down St. John's Prep 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brian Dolan threw for 172 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 17 yards in the win.
E J Perry threw for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Dolan provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Red Raiders bested the Eagles. Dolan's favorite target this week was Tom Smith, who caught 4 passes for 105 yards.
Ngaiiva Mason was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 9 carries, he ran for 80 yards as Lowell topped St. John's Prep. Dolan also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.
John Florence's team's Dolan and Jack Galvin led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Dolan has thrown for 1,162 yards this season, while Galvin has 41 catches for 557 yards. Jack Sylvester from Andover leads the league in rushing with 614 yards.
