Madison-Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Mississinewa entered their tilt with Alexandria-Monroe on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Tigers since April 21, 2016.
Brooklynn Nash made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Amiyaa Parr-Inman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Another player making a difference was Parker Matchette, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Mississinewa's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Madison-Grant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Both Madison-Grant and Mississinewa just can't seem to miss. The Argylls have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Mississinewa struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
