Doherty barely beat Mesa Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

One reason for the win was Doherty's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-21, 25-17.
