It's playoff time, and Thorndale had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Mason Punchers on Thursday as they made off with  an  8-2 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won 15 games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jaxson Eschberger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brenson Beran was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Gunner Ferguson, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
The  win was  the tenth in a row for Thorndale, bringing their record up to 20-3. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Mason, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1.
Thorndale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Punchers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
