The Evansville Memorial Tigers will be playing at home against the Linton-Stockton Miners at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Evansville Memorial will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Evansville Memorial has not done well against Castle recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Evansville Memorial walked away with a 66-58 win over Castle. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evansville Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Kelley, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Myla Browning was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Linton-Stockton didn't have too much trouble with Vincennes Rivet at home last Thursday as they won 49-34.
Evansville Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Linton-Stockton, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
Evansville Memorial was able to grind out a solid victory over Linton-Stockton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 51-44. Will Evansville Memorial repeat their success, or does Linton-Stockton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
