The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes will head out on the road to square off against the West Greene Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Carmichaels is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Thursday, Carmichaels needed a bit of extra time to put away Jefferson-Morgan. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Rockets.

Bailey Barnyak spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Ali Jacobs was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Lani Chun, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, West Greene came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won nine matches by nine runs or more so far this season.
Payton Gilbert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Gilbert was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, West Greene got a big performance out of Khyler Davis, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Davis a new career-high. Kylee Davis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
West Greene hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Carmichaels pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Greene, their record now sits at 13-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carmichaels hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. However, it's not like West Greene struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Carmichaels' way against West Greene when the teams last played back in April, as Carmichaels made off with a 9-1 victory. Do the Mighty Mikes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
