As for Booker, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.1 points on average over those games.
 Booker got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Joel Morris out in front who threw for 55 yards and two  TDs.  Mike Peterson also helped with two touchdowns in total.
 Looking ahead, Gibbs will welcome Lakewood  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 9.8  points per game  this season, so the Gladiators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Booker, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Boca Ciega at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
