Hill-McCloy is 0-9 against Ovid-Elsie since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hill-McCloy Rams will look to defend their home court against the Ovid-Elsie Marauders at 5:30 p.m.
After soaring to 77 points the game before, Hill-McCloy were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-22 loss at the hands of New Lothrop.
Meanwhile, Ovid-Elsie entered their tilt with Lakeville with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Ovid-Elsie blew past Lakeville, posting a 63-20 victory on the road. Fans of Ovid-Elsie have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Ovid-Elsie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evalyn Cole led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Cole is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Bates, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Hill-McCloy was dealt a bruising 50-21 defeat at the hands of Ovid-Elsie in their previous meeting back in January. Will Hill-McCloy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
