The biggest upset of the week belonged to Macon, who took down 125th ranked Brookfield, 12-7. Craig Smith threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Clark County extended the longest winning streak in Clarence Cannon this week by beating South Shelby, 41-32. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Grant O'Bryan provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Monroe City lost to Highland. He completed six passes for 140 yards and also ran for 29 yards. O'Bryan's favorite target this week was Kyle Fulton, who caught five passes for 116 yards.
Micheal Hays made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Panthers fell to the Cougars. The 5-foot-11 senior pulled down one interception and recorded one fumble.
Wes Mefford was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cardinals lost to Clark County. Mefford racked up six receptions for 118 yards. Adam Ellyson helped South Shelby's passing attack out by catching one ball for 36 yards.
Chris Sparks was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 118 yards as Highland lost to Quentin Hamner's team. Derick Smith also contributed to the rushing game with 113 yards on the ground.
Centralia's Zach Etzler and Dixon Dollens have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Clarence Cannon in both passing and receiving yards. Etzler has thrown for 1097 yards this season, while Dollens, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 20 catches for 432 yards. Trace Windsor from Rob Wilt's team leads the league in rushing with 1167 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on the Bulldogs. At the moment, Clark County is in first, while Brookfield is in fourth.
The Cardinals moved up to 152 from 179 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. South Shelby climbed the ranks as a result of losing to the Indians 41-32.
