The Frankenmuth Eagles can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. Everything went their way against Lake Fenton as Frankenmuth made off with a 62-41 victory. Winning may never get old, but Frankenmuth sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Frankenmuth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clare Conzelmann, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Conzelmann is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Izzy Bernthal, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Prevost, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. Emerson Baker was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Frankenmuth's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lake Fenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Frankenmuth will be playing in front of their home fans against Flushing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Flushing has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Lake Fenton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holly at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. The timing isn't great for Holly: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lake Fenton has snatched up 13 consecutive wins on the road.
