Amite County is 0-10 against Franklin County since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Amite County Trojans' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Franklin County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Amite County suffered a rough 46-26 loss at the hands of Wesson. While losing is never fun, Amite County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Wesson is ranked 104th).
Meanwhile, Franklin County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-26 loss at the hands of Parklane Academy. Franklin County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
Amite County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Franklin County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 2-9.
Amite County lost to Franklin County on the road by a decisive 41-26 margin in their previous matchup back in November. Can Amite County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
