While North Decatur's victory against Rising Sun wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The team relied heavily on Matthew Fields, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. North Decatur is undefeated when Fields posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Nolan Burkhart was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

North Decatur's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for South Decatur, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
South Decatur's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Decatur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339.
