Softball Recap: Huntsville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Huntsville had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Green Forest Tigers 20-12 on Tuesday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Huntsville got a massive performance out of Eva Turner, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave Turner a new career-high. Kassidy Oberan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

Huntsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Green Forest only posted a batting average of .281.

Huntsville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for Green Forest, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntsville will take on Prairie Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Green Forest, they will face off against Berryville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
