The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Midlothian Heritage came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Burleson is ranked 381st).
Midlothian Heritage's lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Sweeney, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Berumen, who scored 9 points.
Midlothian Heritage has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season. As for Burleson, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Midlothian Heritage will square off against Paradise at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday. Paradise is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Burleson, they will look to defend their home court on December 8th against Mansfield Timberview at 5:30 p.m.
