This season hasn't been kind to the DeSoto County Bulldogs, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of Hardee on Friday. DeSoto County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hardee apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Rylan Unruh threw for 132 yards on nine of 20 attempts. Jaxon Roberts was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.
DeSoto County bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Mariner and 10-3 Frostproof (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.2% over those games). As for Hardee, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
DeSoto County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hardee will look to defend their home field on Friday against Estero at 7:30 p.m. Estero is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
