 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wimberley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 227  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 227  rushing yards in three consecutive  matchups.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wimberley's defense and their four sacks.  Ty Thames was especially locked on to Salado's QB and sacked him twice.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Jarrell duked it out withNavarro on Friday. Jarrell came up short against  Navarro, falling  35-14. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.
 Wimberley's victory was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Jarrell, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
