Even though the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, the Chandler Prep Titans still came out on top. Chandler Prep walked away with a 67-57 victory over St. Augustine Catholic. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chandler Prep.
Chandler Prep was led to victory by Noah Ruiz and Caleb So. Ruiz scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while So scored 23 points. Ruiz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Hamilton, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Chandler Prep's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for St. Augustine Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
Chandler Prep will be playing at home against Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Horizon Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon Honors will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
