Ashville came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Corner Yellow Jackets. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Yellow Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Ashville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-9, 16-14.

Ashville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evelyn Dole, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Ashville's win bumped their record up to 45-6. As for Corner, they dropped their record down to 25-21 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Ashville and Corner will both be playing Gaston the next time they take the court. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
