Washington faced Brookings in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bobcats. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Washington, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brookings, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Washington has already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Jefferson on the 3rd. As for Brookings, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Madison at 4:00 p.m.
