The Northeastern Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Hagerstown 75-17 on the road. Considering Northeastern has won seven matches by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Northeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addisen Mastriano led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. The match was Mastriano's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Angi, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hagerstown struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northeastern pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Hagerstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Northeastern will face off against Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Northeastern is ranked 168th). As for Hagerstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Cambridge City Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
