Wood is 4-0 against Tokay since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Wood Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Tokay Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Wood was able to grind out a solid victory over Napa, taking the game 51-44. The win was just what Wood needed coming off of a 67-42 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even though McNair scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Tokay still came out on top. Tokay managed a 65-60 win over McNair.
Wood's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Tokay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Everything went Wood's way against Tokay in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Wood made off with a 62-37 victory. Will Wood repeat their success, or does Tokay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
