It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-25, which was the final score in Carver A&T's tilt against Chesapeake on Wednesday. Carver A&T has struggled against Chesapeake recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Towson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-47 walloping at the hands of Linganore.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Korey Collins, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Braden Renner, who scored 13 points.
Carver A&T dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.9 points per game. As for Towson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Carver A&T took a serious blow against Towson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 77-27. Can Carver A&T avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
