After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Georgiana, the Shields Panthers were happy to have found some success  on Monday. Everything went their way against Blacksher as Shields made off with a  61-39 win. That's another feather in the cap for Shields, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Shields' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Cantangelo Hicks, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds.  Adrian Watts was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with seven  rebounds and five  steals.
 Shields' victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 10-13. As for Blacksher, they are  on a 12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-18.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shields won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against the Tigers at 7:00  p.m.  on January 30th. McKenzie knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully the Panthers like a good challenge. As for Blacksher, they won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against the Bulldogs at 1:00  p.m.  on January 30th. Washington County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
