On Tuesday, the Highland Cougars were out to avenge their 72-61 defeat to the Clark County Indians from their previous meeting last month, but they had no such luck. The game between them was not particularly close, with Highland falling 71-54. They haven't found any success against Clark County since Feb. 16 of last year, this loss making it three in a row.
The Cougars' overall record fell to 7-16. The victory was the fourth in a row for Clark County and raised their record to 15-7.
The Cougars will take on Waterloo Friday. Highland is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight. As for Clark County, they will face off against South Shelby Friday. The Indians won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
