Elbert County entered their tilt with Commerce on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-6 victory. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Brooks Banks was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Rylan Brown also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Elbert County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Commerce, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.
