Dover is 0-3 against Bishop Guertin since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dover Green Wave will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Guertin Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Hampshire (Dover is ranked 11th, while Bishop Guertin is ranked 12th).
Last Friday, Dover came up short against Exeter and fell 16-7.
The losing side was boosted by Syncere Bailey, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Bishop Guertin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down Nashua South 37-20.
Exeter's victory bumped their season record to 6-3 while Dover's loss dropped theirs to 5-3-1.
Dover was dealt a bruising 42-14 defeat at the hands of Bishop Guertin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Dover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
