The Northeast Metro RVT Knights fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Greater Lowell Tech with a sharp 28-8 victory on Friday. For Northeast Metro RVT, this counts as revenge for the 34-30 loss Greater Lowell Tech walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.
Devin Nieves was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Northeast Metro RVT's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Metro RVT will challenge Georgetown/Pentucket Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Lowell Tech is on the road again on Friday and play against Lunenburg at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Lunenburg is ranked 203rd, while Greater Lowell Tech is ranked 213th).
