Baseball Game Preview: D'Arbonne Woods vs. Union Parish Farmers

D'Arbonne Woods will head out to challenge the Union Parish Farmers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union Parish took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on D'Arbonne Woods, who comes in off a win.

D'Arbonne Woods took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over Ouachita Parish. D'Arbonne Woods hasn't had any issues with Ouachita Parish recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bradley Thrash was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for D'Arbonne Woods: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-14 otherwise.

Thrash wasn't the only one making solid contact: D'Arbonne Woods kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Union Parish was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Downsville, falling 14-8.

Jose Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Terrance Wallace was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Union Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for D'Arbonne Woods, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Everything went D'Arbonne Woods' way against Union Parish when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as D'Arbonne Woods made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for D'Arbonne Woods since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
