On Thursday, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City got the win against Ramsey by a conclusive 54-32. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City pushed the score to 46-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Ramsey cut but never quite recovered from.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Macee Rodman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Ruby Stuckemeyer, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Baya Fingo, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Unity Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 39-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy.
The win makes it two in a row for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and bumps their season record up to 17-13. As for Unity Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 16 of their last 20 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season.
