The Centennial Eagles's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 63-50 victory over Palm Beach Central. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centennial also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Jayson Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Buroz, who scored 12 points.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Palm Beach Central, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Centennial will stay at home for another game and welcome Cardinal Gibbons at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Cardinal Gibbons knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Centennial likes a good challenge. Palm Beach Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pahokee at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Pahokee is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
