After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Bernard's, the Ferndale Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Friday. They managed a 57-53 win over Hoopa Valley. For Ferndale, this counts as revenge for the 51-45 loss Hoopa Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 4th.
Hoopa Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lyle Mckinnon, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Malaki McCoy, who scored 13 points.
Ferndale's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Hoopa Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Ferndale will head out on the road to face off against South Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hoopa Valley, they will be playing at home against St. Bernard's at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
