The Stevenson Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-54 to Seaside. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stevenson in their matchups with Seaside: they've now lost three in a row.
Stevenson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alex Rushing, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Toole, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Stevenson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Seaside, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.
Stevenson will take on Pacific Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pacific Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday. As for Seaside, they will head out on the road to challenge Marina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marina has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 515 points over their last eight matches.
