Millard West (Omaha, Neb.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 17 points, drop to three before the final whistle blew on a 24-21 victory over
Creighton Prep (Omaha, Neb.).
After taking the lead on a
Ross Drwal touchdown pass to
Skyler Monaghan in the first quarter, the Wildcats were up 24-7 at the half.
The loss snapped Creighton Prep's four-game winning streak.
The loss comes after Creighton Prep defeated Bryan 63-0 last week. With the win Millard West extended its winning streak to four games.
In an A District 1 game next week Millard West (6-1) takes on Omaha Northwest, and Creighton Prep (5-2) will go up against Bellevue East also in an A District 1 game.
