After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coral Springs, Coconut Creek was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Hallandale Chargers, posting a 77-29 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Coconut Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Theophile, who almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Theophile has scored at least a third of Coconut Creek's points. Devonique Thompson was another key player, going 11 for 19 on her way to 27 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Coconut Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Coconut Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hallandale, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
