Last Tuesday, Chicago Vocational came up short against Urban Prep-Bronzeville and fell 66-59.
Despite the loss, Chicago Vocational got a solid performance out of Ron Thigpen, who scored 21 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Thigpen scored a full 35.6% of Chicago Vocational's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendaro Cassidy, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Woodlawn waltzed into Tuesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by South Shore International at home to the tune of 60-26.
Chicago Vocational's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Woodlawn, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record.
Chicago Vocational didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Woodlawn in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Will Chicago Vocational repeat their success, or does Woodlawn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
