The Cheltenham Panthers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 74-45 defeat at the hands of Central Dauphin. Cheltenham's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Central Dauphin was led to victory by Jelani Easter and Wayne Fletcher II. Easter scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Fletcher II scored 25 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fletcher II has scored at least a third of Central Dauphin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Franz, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cheltenham's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Central Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Cheltenham will be playing in front of their home fans against Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quakertown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Cheltenham is ranked 68th). As for Central Dauphin, they will head out on the road to face off against State College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
