After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weatherford Christian, The Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 30-25 W over Hill County.
Leading Grace Classical Christian Academy to victory were Luke Gjone and Noah Bishop. Gjone rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, while Bishop threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evan Knight, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Knight, who rushed for 111 yards on only 13 carries.
Grace Classical Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hill County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Grace Classical Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hill County will be playing in front of their home fans against CenTex HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. CenTex HomeSchool is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
