The Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Christian Patriots at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Central Wisconsin Christian's 13-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 58-51 to Valley Christian on Tuesday. Central Wisconsin Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 57-51 to Palmyra-Eagle. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heritage Christian in their matchups with Palmyra-Eagle: they've now lost six in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Morgan Bluhm, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. She scored a full 25.5% of Heritage Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Millen, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
The losses dropped Central Wisconsin Christian to 1-2 and Valley Christian to 1-1.
Central Wisconsin Christian took their win against Heritage Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 43-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Wisconsin Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
