On Friday, The Alliance Aviators got themselves on the board against the Marlington Dukes, but the Marlington Dukes never followed suit. They breezed by the Dukes on the road to the tune of 36-0. The result was nothing new for Alliance, who have now won four games by 34 points or more so far this season.
Brendan Zurbrugg continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Zurbrugg 's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Ramhir Hawkins did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The win makes it two in a row for Alliance and bumps their season record up to 6-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49 points. As for Marlington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Alliance will head out on the road to face off against Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aurora will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Marlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
