The Gaither Cowboys lost against the Wharton Wildcats back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Gaither was the victim of a rough 68-44 loss at the hands of Wharton. Gaither has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gaither's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marc Fransberg, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Kindred, who scored 12 points.
Gaither's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wharton, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gaither will take on Leto at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Leto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Wharton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tampa Bay Tech at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Tampa Bay Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
