The Kings Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Turpin 72-38 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-15.
Turpin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elizabeth Wullenweber, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Sophia Schiano was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Kings is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Turpin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kings will take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lebanon comes in on seven and Kings on three. As for Turpin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
