Softball Recap: Southlake Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

After only two runs in their last game, SouthLake Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Langtree Charter Academy on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Ashton Maultsby was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Maultsby was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Sherard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Katelyn Maultsby was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
