Liberty is 9-1 against Rampart since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Liberty Lancers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Rampart Rams at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Palmer, taking the game 42-35. The victory was just what Liberty needed coming off of a 72-44 defeat in their prior game.
Liberty's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Dawes, who scored 13 points along with three blocks. Dawes is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Gardner, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Rampart waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over Widefield.
Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Rampart, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Liberty beat Rampart 58-51 in their previous meeting on January 6th. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rampart's Emily Huxtable, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
