The Triplains/Brewster Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over Western Plains/Healy. The win was some much needed relief for Triplains/Brewster as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Triplains/Brewster had a senior duo take command as Nick Zerr dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds and Carson Schmidt scored 22 points. It was the first time this season that Zerr scored 15 or more points.
Triplains/Brewster's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Western Plains/Healy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triplains/Brewster will take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Western Plains/Healy, they will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
