Loyal had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran Lancers a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Greyhounds have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Loyal's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, they moved to 15-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Loyal nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
