Even though the Darien Blue Wave scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, the Harding Presidents still came out on top. Harding walked away with a 69-58 win over Darien. For Harding, this counts as revenge for the 71-37 defeat Darien walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Harding's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Craig Chandler led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. O'Naveis O'Reagan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
The victory got Harding back to even at 2-2. As for Darien, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding will face off against Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Darien will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Newtown at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Newtown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three games.
